What is it

The Rose Code is the path dedicated to women and men who are victims of violence, abuse or stalking.

Where is it activated

The Rose Code is activated in all area of Emergency Rooms (Pronto Soccorso) of Careggi Hospital: The General Emergency Room (Pronto Soccorso Generale), the Trauma Center Emergency (Pronto Soccorso CTO), Audiologist Emergency (Pronto Soccorso Otorino), the Emergency Eye Clinic (Pronto Soccorso Oculistico), Maternity Clinic Emegency (Accettazione Maternità).

From 2014 the Rose Code is activated in all Hospital of Tuscany.

The sexual violence is taken over by the Maternity Clinic Emergency (l’Accettazione del Dipartimento Materno Infantile) with the Regional Reference Center for Clinical Counselling in situations of abuse and sexual violence of adult women and minors (Centro di Consulenza clinica in situazioni di abuso e violenza sessuale su donne adulte e minori).

A Rose Room is prepared for receiving and interviewing the victims at the General Emergency Room and the Maternity Clinic Emergency.

The Path

The working group at the Emergency Room will take care of the victim providing the necessary therapy and evaluating the risks involved. Eventually, will have the victim put into security through a network of cooperating structures (Community Social Service, Anti-violence Centers, Police Department).

The Symbol

The emblem of "The Rose Code" is represented with two half-moons and is a symbol of acceptance and help to the victims of violence. The logo is used to connote the access points where the regional project is activated and to allow the users to identify easily the locations and the initiatives of the project.
